Monitoring of vocational qualifications 2004

The regulators' monitoring teams are responsible for ensuring that the performance of awarding bodies delivering vocational qualifications meets the regulatory requirements for quality, rigour, fairness and consistency.

This report outlines the nature and scope of the monitoring activities undertaken between January 2004 and January 2005 and identifies the main trends.

This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
