GCSE controlled assessment regulations

This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.

Controlled assessment regulations have been developed for all GCSE subjects with internal assessment. The regulations must be read in conjunction with the qualification and subject criteria. Examples of controlled assessment in different subjects are available from the QCA website.
