Impact of teaching experience on marking accuracy

Last updated on: 08/04/2008

This document endeavours to answer the following question: Is teaching experience a necessary condition for markers of Key Stage 3 English? The study investigated four types of markers representing different teaching and marking backgrounds. The findings represent no overwhelming differences between the groups.

This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
