The Queen has approved the nomination of the Reverend Canon Alan Peter Winton, BA, PhD, Team Rector of Welwyn in the diocese of St Albans, and honorary Canon pf St Albans Abbey to the Suffragan See of Thetford, in the Diocese of Norwich, in succession to the Right Reverend David John Atkinson, BSc, AKC, PhD, MLitt, MA, MSOSc, on his resignation on the 16th September 2009.
