NCVCCO diamond jubilee. 1942-2002Our mission is to ensure the well-being and safeguarding of children by promoting the voluntary sector’s contribution to the provision of services.

Strategic Aims

  • To inform and influence policy and services in order to achieve better outcomes for all children, young people, their families and communities
  • To promote the values and principles and maintain the profile of the voluntary child care and family support sector through maximising the potential of an umbrella group
  • To address key practice and training issues for the benefit of voluntary organisations working with children, young people and families

We provide information as publications and briefing as well as the news service provided here. We frequently consult with members on child care and family issues and represent members’ views to central, regional and local government.

Membership is open to all registered child care and family support charities in England; rates are on a sliding scale. Other groups and individuals can support the work of NCVCCO and be kept informed of developments in the UK child care world by subscribing to our monthly and quarterly publications.
