25 year agreement on management operations at Walshaw and Lancashire Moors
(23 March 2012) Natural England and Walshaw Moor Estate Ltd have recently entered into a 25 year agreement that provides a new and detailed framework for management on Walshaw and Lancashire Moors until 2037. This framework provides improved environmental protection for the Moors and also allows the Estate to conduct its business activities.

Farmer guilty of damaging one of Derbyshire’s finest conservation sites
(2 March 2012) A Derbyshire farmer has been ordered to pay financial penalties totalling £18,710 and to carry out restoration work at his own expense, after admitting to carrying out un-authorised activities in an area legally protected for its rare geological features and upland habitats, within the Peak District National Park.
