Elizabeth
On 24 March 1603 Elizabeth I died and the Tudor
Age ended. 400 years after her death, her reign
continues to fascinate historians. Poets and playwrights
of the day heralded her as "Gloriana",
"Good Queen Bess" and "The Virgin
Queen", The PRO is hosting a series of events
and an exhibition to celebrate a queen which some
consider the greatest monarch.
