Approved repositories
The following repositories have been approved as meeting the standards required by The National Archives Standard for Record Repositories (2004), and/or appointed as a Place of Deposit for Public Records by agreement between the Lord Chancellor and the relevant authority.
Approvals of repositories achieved under the 'HMC Standard for Record Repositories' and the Public Record Office's 'Beyond the PRO' have been carried over.
TNA indicates that a repository has shown that it meets The National Archives Standard for Record Repositories (2004) and BS 5454 (2000) in all essential respects. P indicates that a repository is an appointed Place of Deposit for public records.
