Scout, 1911. Cat ref: COPY 1/558Lottery workshops

These regional one-day workshops are aimed at helping participants develop the core structure of an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund under the 'Your Heritage' scheme.

The objective of the workshops is to support those individuals who may feel daunted by the application procedure and who would therefore value some hands-on support to get them started.

During the workshop participants work through some of the difficult and challenging sections of the application including: creating a project timetable, completing a budget, addressing questions on organisational policies and strategies, justifying the heritage merit of the project, monitoring and evaluating the project outcomes and benefits, considering the partnership funding requirements, giving good evidence to substantiate claims, writing an executive summary and good presentation. At the end of the workshop participants have a partially completed application form and should feel confident about completing it on their own.

Places are limited to 10 per workshop and there is a nominal charge to cover lunch, refreshments and administration costs.

Those interested in attending one of the workshops should contact Louise RayMailto for an initial discussion on their project proposal, which must be under £100,000, and to reserve a place.
