Delivering Our Armed Forces Health Care Needs

An overarching agreement between the Department of Health and the Ministry of Defence signed on 19 September 2002 by David Lammy MP, Under Secretary of State for Health and Dr Lewis Moonie, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Defence.  The Concordat is an enabling document.  It sets out a partnership approach under which the National Health Service and Defence Medical Service will work together to support each other and help to ensure value for money for the taxpayer, continuing high standards of care for patients and effective defence of the nation.
