Organisation

At the heart of the Agency are 6 Directorates and 16 dual accountable Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) driving forward improvements in Communication and Information Systems to meet the needs of Defence. All our IPTs have management responsibility for carrying out both support and procurement activities to some degree and hence are dual accountable. IPTs must account to Chief Defence Procurement for the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of any procurement activities they undertake, and similarly they will account to Chief Defence Logistics via the relevant Business Unit (e.g. the DCSA) for the support activities.

Although IPTs are dual accountable they are hosted within either the Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) or the DCSA.
