'The 60th anniversary of the end of Second World War - what have I learned?'

  A 3 day educational event at The National Army Museum (Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, London), provided by the educational departments and specialist staff of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, The National Army Museum, Defence Schools Presentation Team, RAF Museum, St Dunstan's, and The Royal British Legion.

These specially designed workshops will meet the National Curriculum requirements for Key Stage 2 and Key stage 3, History, Citizenship and English. All schools attending the event will also have the opportunity to listen to the testimony of a veteran.

Wednesday 2nd November 2005 - Secondary Schools Day (Key stage 3)
(Lunch and refreshments provided free of charge)

Thursday 3rd November 2005 - Primary Schools Day (Key Stage 2)
(Lunch and refreshments provided free of charge)

Friday 4 November 2005 - INSET day for teachers of KEY STAGE 2 and 3 History and Citizenship (and selected English) - including special keynote presentation by a leading historian. (There will be a £15 registration fee for this day)

This is an all day event and due to limited places teachers must attend both the morning and afternoon sessions. Places will be given on a first come first served basis.
