Avionics and Air Electronic Warfare Integrated Project Team - Av & Air EW IPT

The Av & Air EW IPT is a Commodity Integrated Project Team (IPT) responsible for managing a range of Avionic equipment such as Radios, Instruments and Navigation aids together with Complex Mission systems for reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare. The IPT is structured around 3 Output and 4 Support Branches supporting 14 Platform IPTs and Customers 1 & 2 (Mainly STC).

Current Activities

The Avionics & Air EW IPT has embarked on a number of fundamental Business Change initiatives, designed to ensure an increasingly efficient and effective output delivery to our customers. This work is closely linked to how Commodities will best be managed under the future Prime-Partnered Platform Availability Contract environment. The IPT is fully committed to, and an integral part of the Commodity Management Under Contracting For Availability (CMuCFA) Project. Under this programme of work, much of the IPT’s current traditional transactional business will transfer to industry and the IPT has recently instituted a Strategy-To-Task exercise to inform this process.
