The ISS Field Adviser Team are responsible for the following:
- reporting and investigating security breaches
- management of an audit and 'review and learn' programme to ensure companies are complying with the requirements of the Manual of Protective Security and other HMG directives
- to share best practice within industry and across the MoD
Over the next few weeks, we shall be contacting many defence companies to discuss how these requirements and tasks might be carried forward in a 'SMARTer' way
We will also place on the website many of our own generic security plans and procedures, as well as security awareness material, to allow companies to benchmark their own against ours, and to provide 'worked examples' for those companies less familiar with such documentation. We shall also publish, where we can, details of security incidents and unplanned events from within the MOD and Industry, suitably sanitised as necessary to protect the innocent, so that we may all learn from them.
