Armed Forces Personnel Administration Agency (AFPAA) Key Targets


The Key Targets take into account the significant progress in the development of JPA. However, the Agency aims to maintain the levels of service delivery for pay, pensions and allowances during Agency Transformation

1. To deliver Pay

  • Monthly error rate on accuracy for the volume of payments to be within 0.5%
  • 99.9% of all payments to be made by the due date

2. To deliver Pension Services

  • Monthly error rate on accuracy for the volume of payments to be within 0.1%
  • 99% of all payments to be made by the due date

3. To support the delivery of JPA Programme

  • Achieve live service to the RN by end Oct 2006 and to the Army by end Mar 2007

4. To deliver an effective Enquiry Centre service

  • 75% of all calls to be dealt with on first contact

5. Preparation for delivery of AFPAA service post 2009

  • Develop AFPAA contribution to project team and achieve Investment Approval (Initial Gate)

6. To meet approved efficiency targets for the delivery of core services

  • Deliver the benefits of JPA efficiencies set against the baseline of the benefits realisation that underpinned the Investment Approval Main Board Business case for JPA

7. To deliver an efficient and effective MOD medal service

  • To deliver medals from receipt of application to issue:
       Current campaign medals   35 working days
      Conduct & Reserve medals   45 working days
       Historic medals (inc Canal Zone)   70 working days
