Headline:

Some sunshine for central and eastern areas. Remaining cloudier elsewhere.

Today:

Largely cloudy with mist and locally dense fog at first. Many central and eastern areas becoming sunnier and pleasantly warm. Staying cloudier in the west though with patchy drizzle, and some outbreaks of rain in western Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Tonight:

Some clear periods across parts of England and Wales but most areas becoming cloudier. Becoming breezy across Northern Ireland and Scotland with rain becoming more persistent and locally heavy.

Friday:

Persistent, locally heavy rain then sunshine and showers in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Rain moving into England and Wales but central, southeast England probably remaining dry with some sunshine.
