Victims’ Commissioner publishes findings from research with victims of crime about their experiences of court and sentencing.
The research, which involved in-depth interviews and discussion groups with victims whose cases had resulted in a conviction, was conducted to help understand in more detail victims’ experiences of the criminal justice process, satisfaction with treatment at Court, views on sentencing, and opportunities for victims to be granted a voice in the process.
