    The Information Commissioner is the independent authority responsible for administering and enforcing the Freedom of Information Act.
  • Information Tribunal
    Formerly known as the Data Protection Tribunal, the Information Tribunal hears appeals from notices issued by the Information Commissioner.

    The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has responsibility for the Environmental Information Regulations which make specific provision for access to environmental information.
