The Office for Criminal Justice Reform (OCJR) is the government body that supports criminal justice agencies in working together to provide an improved service to the public.

It drives forward improvements to the Criminal Justice System directed by the National Criminal Justice Board, which is made up of ministers, heads of criminal justice services and senior civil servants. Forty-two Local Criminal Justice Boards coordinate activity and share responsibility for delivering criminal justice in their area.

OCJR is cross-departmental – it is hosted by the Ministry of Justice, and reports on an equal basis to the Ministry of Justice, the Home Office and the Attorney General’s Office.
