Chief Executive Her Majesty's Courts Service

Biography

Sir Ronald De Witt was appointed as chief executive of Her Majesty's Courts Service in March 2004.

From April 2002, he was chief executive of North West London Strategic Health Authority. Previous appointments include chief executive of King's College Hospital NHS Trust in London, chief executive of Royal Hull Hospital Trust, and chief executive of Leeds Health Authority. He was knighted in the Queen's birthday honours list in 2003 for services to nursing and the NHS; was appointed Honorary Fellow in Humanities (Lincolnshire University), and received a Doctorate Civil Law (Honoris Causa) from the University of East Anglia in recognition of his work with Education and Health.
