Criminal Procedure Rule Committee
These rules govern the way criminal cases are managed and the Committee's goal is to simplify and streamline them.
We provide a secretariat to the Committee to administer its business. Engaging with partners across the criminal justice system, we help the Committee deliver the reform agenda, ensuring that proposals are practicable and that effective consultation takes place before new rules are made. We arrange recruitment of Committee members and maintain the Committee's Freedom of Information Publication Scheme and Code of Practice.
Membership of the committee
