Biography

Willy Bach was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Justice on 6 October 2008.

He previously served as a Minister in the Whips' office, the former Lord Chancellor's Department, the Ministry of Defence and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

He was raised to the peerage as Baron Bach, of Lutterworth in the County of Leicestershire in 1998.

Lord Bach is married, with three children, and lives in Lutterworth. His interests include watching cricket and football (he is a Leicester City fan).

Education


New College, Oxford.  He was called to the Bar in 1972.
