eSafety Awards 2009

The 2009 eSafety Award Ceremony will be held on 22 September 2009 at the ITS World Congress in Stockholm, Sweden.
The eSafety initiative brings together the European Commission, Public Authorities, Industry and other stakeholders in a drive to accelerate the development, deployment and use of eSafety systems. It will therefore contribute to the European Commission's 2001 goal of halving the number of fatalities on European Roads by 2010.
The eSafety Awards aim to recognise the most ambitious and innovative ITS deployment in these three categories:

Life Time Achievement Award: a person who has shown outstanding commitment and drive throughout his/ her career with regards to the acceleration of the deployment of eSafety systems in Europe

Industry or Technology Award: a person or team from a company or industry initiative which has played a key role in accelerating deployment of eSafety systems in Europe

Policy Award: a person or team from a public administration body which has taken the lead in implementing measures to facilitate eSafety deployment in Europe.
