Emergencies and disasters can happen any day, anywhere.

This website is a gateway to resources, information and practical tools for developing the ability of individuals, communities and organisations to be better prepared to cope with emergencies and disasters.

It offers organisations and individuals the opportunity to get involved and contribute by sharing resources, good practice and comments in the area of resilience and disaster preparedness through the online resource library.

The website is an outcome of the Informed Prepared Together Project funded by the European Commission and led by the Red Cross/European Union Office. Learn more about the project here.

Community Resilience Programme launched

The CCS is very pleased to announce that the Community Resilience Programme has been launched today (Monday 7 March 2011). This coincides with the start of Exercise Watermark - which itself sees communities up and down the country working with responders to prepare themselves to deal with the impacts of flooding.
