Serving the community

The police

Police Officer

Joining the police service as a regular Police Officer not only offers you a great career, but also allows you to have a direct impact on the quality of life in your community.

As a Police Officer you will help to reduce crime and, through your work and your presence in the community, reduce the fear of crime. You'll also play a crucial role in:

  • protecting the public from crime and anti-social behaviour

Diversity in the police service

The trust of the community is crucial to police officers being able to carry out their work effectively. A vital part of building up that trust is that the police service reflects the diversity of the society it serves and that we all work together to keep our homes, families and communities safe.

What's in it for you?

As a police officer you will be trained to the highest standards and will be offered an attractive package of pay and benefits.
