Home Office information management strategy
Our information management strategy sets out our strategic approach to managing information, from creation to disposal, over the next three years.
It will help us to develop the culture, tools and capability to manage information effectively. It recognises that the information we create is a valuable corporate resource and also that we are entrusted with citizen data that brings with it inherent responsibilities.
The strategy addresses our need to share good quality information across the department, its agencies and the wider public sector in order to deliver reliable, joined up services. However, it also recognises the need to ensure that any risks around using and sharing our information are assessed effectively and that we achieve the appropriate balance between protecting and sharing our information.
