Consultation on Security Guards at Sports and Other Events and the Private Security Industry Act 2001

The Private Security Industry Act 2001 provides for the licensing, by the Security Industry Authority, of a number of activities in the private security industry to provide reassurance to the public and to ensure that those engaged in such activities are suitable.

This consultation considers the options available for applying the Act to security staff at sports and other events, sets out the Government's views on the options, and seeks comments on issues related to implementation.
