Review of the Victim's Charter: a Consultation Paper

The first Victim’s Charter was published in 1990 and was substantially revised in 1996, setting out 27 standards of service that victims can expect to receive. The purpose of this consultation is to improve the Charter, taking into account developments over the last 5 years both domestically and internationally, and to show the increasing commitment the Government is giving to helping victims and witnesses.
