Investigation Code of Practice Issued under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002
The purpose of this paper is to obtain views on the draft Code of Practice for financial investigation powers under the Proceeds of Crime Act. This update of the existing code is necessary due to amendments made to the investigation provisions by the Serious Crime Act 2007 and developments under the codes issued under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
