The report was made public on 11 January 2005 and sets out the developments since 22 June 2004 with clear details about progress.

Home Secretary's Written Statement to Parliament of 11 January 2005, which was made in support of the publication of the report.

The programme of work aimed at implementing all 31 recommendations of the Bichard Inquiry is making significant progress. On these pages you will find outline details of the programme of work and its objectives, as well as be able to view in full the recently published Bichard Inquiry Recommendations Progress Report. Prior to publication, this was passed by the Home Secretary to Sir Michael Bichard on 22 December 2004 for his consideration. This site also offers access to, the new Statutory Code of Practice on Information Management as recommended by Sir Michael and now under consultation., These pages will be periodically updated so you can keep abreast of the unfolding work and its major milestones.

The initial work of co-ordinating the implementation programme is being led by the Home office. We welcome any comments relating to the programme of work.
