A pilot website on Government Funding to the voluntary and community sectors is now live. The site offers information on grants from 4 government departments (Dept of Health, Dept for Education and Skills, ODPM/DTLR and Home Office) available to the voluntary and community sector. If you are responsible for any such grants in the HO which you think should be posted on the web-site please contact Giles Ball

Early Spend and Criteria for National Exemplar Fund

The Active Community Unit is commissioning work and inviting proposals for work with national application or delivered across two or more regions.

Approximately £1 million is available to support bids in the range of £10,000 - £75,000.

Development Projects and Exemplar Projects managed at local, sub-regional and regional level

There will be no bidding rounds. Government Offices in the Regions will be managing funds and commissioning work, working in partnership with the VCS and other stakeholders. Contact your Government Office from
January 5th 2004 for more information.

Mentoring Capital Grant Round 2003/4

The Home Office ran a mentoring capital grant round in 2003-4. The total funds available were £600,000. Bids were considered for capital purchases to support projects in the delivery of their voluntary mentoring services outside schools.
