This circular publicises the Home Secretary’s approval for the guidance on variable shift arrangements (VSA) agreed by the Police Negotiating Board.

The guidance document is about designing variable shift arrangements and is effective from the 22 January 2010.  

Details of the guidance are set out in the attached Police Negotiating Board circular 10/1.
