Home Office top government department for gay equality

The Home Office is the highest ranking government department according to the Stonewall annual workplace equality index (new window). The department is now the sixth best employer for lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) people – out of more than 350 public and private sector organisations.

The workplace equality index is an annual survey designed to measure equality in the workplace for LGB people.

Spectrum is active in providing presentations and conferences to staff, covering issues such as bullying and harassment and the ‘invisibility’ of LGBT people. Spectrum has also helped formulate LGBT-friendly policies for the Home Office and assisted in the wording of legislation.

If you are interested in joining Spectrum, but do not work for the Home Office, or are a business or organisation that supports the network’s aims, you can join the network as an associate of Spectrum.

For details on how to join as an associate, please email Spectrum.
