HM Treasury Oral Questions

The Chancellor of the Exchequer and Treasury Ministers answered questions in the House of Commons on a wide range of Treasury issues.

Issues raised included:

regional growth in the economy, in particular, the North West and South East;
national debt and the rate at which the deficit should be reduced;
taxes, including VAT and Capital Gains Tax;
the Budget, and its impact on low-income families and employment levels; and
the Office of Budget Responsibility and forecasts for UK economic growth.
