Technical Papers

The version of the Cross Cutting Review that was published on 10 September 2002 is a summarised version of the full report that went to Ministers earlier in the year.

The unabridged chapters and recommendations of the review contain case studies and detail the thinking behind the recommendations and implementation action plan. They serve as useful technical papers to the published report, and fall into seven categories:

  • Service Delivery: identifying the 'value-added' of the VCS
  • Capacity
  • Social and Community Enterprise
  • The Funding Relationship
  • Developing the Compact
  • Detailed Recommendations
  • Funding of Voluntary and Community Organisations
The statistical information on funding of voluntary and community organisations in the report was provided by the Home Office. A technical paper supporting the chapter will made be available on the Home Office website shortly.

The Technical Papers below are available in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF). If you do not have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer you can download the software free of charge from the Adobe website. For alternative ways to read PDF documents and further information on website accessibility visit the HM Treasury accessibility page.
