Appointment of advisers to the Treasury

HM Treasury today announced the appointment of NM Rothschild & Sons Limited as financial advisers and of Herbert Smith as legal advisers to the Treasury in connection with the creation of Partnerships UK, the new Public Private Partnership to be formed to help improve private investment in the UK's public services.

Notes to editors

The appointment of advisers to the Treasury was foreshadowed in the announcement of Partnerships UK on 22 July 1999 by the then Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Alan Milburn.
