Aviation duty: response to consultation

In Pre-Budget Report 2007, the Chancellor announced that the Government intended to replace air passenger duty with a new duty, payable per plane rather than per passenger. This formal consultation considered options for the design of the duty, put forward lead proposals and invited views from interested stakeholders.

The document summarises responses to the consultation exercise and also sets out the Government’s response.
