A Joint Task Group between Government and key haulage industry bodies was formed after the 2005 Pre-Budget Report. The group has now concluded its work and a summary of evidence is published alongside PBR 2006. The purpose of the Task Group was to build a better understanding of the issues affecting the haulage sector. The outcomes will inform future decisions on how to ensure that the sector continues to fulfil its important role in the UK economy.
