Globalisation has the potential to deliver substantial economic benefits to all countries – but it also creates major challenges for policymakers. Financial crises and continuing poverty in large parts of the world demonstrate that though globalisation can help create greater prosperity, by itself it is not enough to ensure that prosperity is shared by all.
