Energy Efficiency Innovation Review – Summary report

Defra and HM Treasury jointly sponsored a review into innovation in energy efficiency.  The review was carried out under the leadership of a steering group drawn from the two sponsor departments, the Carbon Trust and the Energy Saving Trust.  The purpose of the review was to examine how a step-change in energy efficiency could be delivered cost effectively within the domestic, business and public sectors in the UK and how to embed energy efficiency improvement into decision making across the economy.  This document summarises the principal conclusions of the review, and these are presented in greater depth in the main reports, which have been published as independent reports to Government by the Carbon Trust and Energy Saving Trust.
