Full Employment in every region
The UK labour market is performing well, both by international standards and on a historical comparison, with high levels of employment and low levels of unemployment. This paper discusses the challenges that still need to be addressed in order to extend employment opportunity to all. It sets out the Government's strategy to achieve full employment in every region by tackling areas of disadvantage and concentrations of worklessness.
