PUBLIC EXPENDITURE 2003-04: PROVISIONAL OUTTURN

The Treasury today published the Public Expenditure Outturn White Paper (Cm 6293) showing provisional outturn for Departmental Expenditure Limits (DEL) and Annually Managed Expenditure (AME) in 2003-04 including information on individual Estimates and administration cost limits. The White Paper also includes details of carry forward into 2004-05 under the DEL end year flexibility (EYF) scheme.

The overall position for 2003-04 shows provisional outturn for the DEL of £273,574 million comprising £250,353 million resources and £23,221 million capital.

Total entitlements for carry forward of End Year Flexibility into 2004-05 amount to £2.6 billion capital and £8.8 billion resources.
