Managing the global economy through turbulent times

This joint HM Treasury - Cabinet Office pamphlet published today sets the scene for the UK Government’s response to the current turbulence in world financial markets,  in the run up to the next Summit with G20 Leaders to be held in London in April 2009. That includes the principles behind: measures to stabilise the global economy;  managing contagion to emerging and developing markets; reforming domestic and global financial governance;  maintaining open and stable markets;  and the backdrop of wider global challenges, including the need for reform of the international financial institutions.
