Implementation of the E-Commerce Directive

Following these consultations, a statutory instrument - The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) (Amendment) (Electronic Commerce Directive) Order 2002 - was laid in draft before Parliament on 16 May 2002. This SI was accompanied by an Explanatory Memorandum, a Regulatory Impact Assessment and a Transposition Note. Other implementing legislation will be made in due course.
