The Euro
In the event of a UK euro changeover, the Government would promote fair treatment and comprehensive information for all citizens and consumers. The Government has worked with stakeholders to develop a Consumer Protection Framework to protect consumers and maintain consumer confidence in the event of a changeover. We have consulted our key stakeholders informally and a draft framework is available. This draft updates the version that was originally posted on this site in November 2005.
