Local authority own expenditure by economic category
Local authority own expenditure within TME is total local authority spending excluding any transfers to other parts of the public sector.
Economic categories are used by the Office for National Statistics in the compilation of national accounts. The accounting adjustments relate to differences in the way national accounts record local authority expenditure and the way such information is collected from local authorities - which is the basis of the breakdown in this table.
