Reporting relocations

As part of the Lyons Review, departments also have targets for the relocation of posts outside of London and the South-East of England. These targets are for March 2010.

Principles of reporting

There is only one reporting process, once per quarter:

  • Departments feed relocations data (forecasts and actuals) to the OGC GET team.
  • Departments formally validate the data as part of the existing reporting of efficiency numbers.
  • This validation will take the form of sign off by Permanent Secretary or Minister.

Process

  • Quarterly reporting forms are populated by HMT with the latest GET data (forecast and actuals) prior to issue to departments by account managers
  • GET/Account Manager/Department to agree and reconcile as part of quarterly reporting activities
  • Agreed numbers will be the definitive source of data for quarterly reporting on relocation numbers.

Effective From

Reporting to the Efficiency Team from Quarter 2, 2006/07 (i.e. September 2006 data) onwards.
