Housing, consumption and EMU

The EMU study by HM Treasury Housing, consumption and EMU considers in detail an important structural aspect of the UK economy: the housing market. The study addresses the question of whether UK households are more sensitive to changes in interest rates than euro area households on average as a result of differences in housing market structures, and the implications of this for consumption.
