A Paper prepared by HM Treasury and the Department for International Development (DFID) UK - March 2002.
The Case for Aid for the Poorest Countries argues that developed and developing countries must work together to address the causes of poverty: not just because to do so is central to piece and security, but because to do so is right. This joint paper by DFID and HM Treasury shows how increases in aid flows are vital if we are to meet the Millennium Development Goals of halving World poverty, reducing child mortality by two thirds and ensuring that every child experiences primary education.
