Bulletin Number 42 From HM Treasury
This is the forty-second bulletin covering developments on the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA).
FSMA Two Year Review: Further Revised Draft Legislation For Public Comment
In the Treasury's feedback statement 'Financial Services and Markets Act, two year review: changes to secondary legislation, Government response', published on 2 December 2004, the Treasury stated its intention to publish revised drafts of all FSMA 2000 two year review legislation early this year prior to adoption of the legislation (with the exception of legislation relating to future work requiring further public consultation). FSMA bulletins number 40 and 41 enclosed between them seven of the eight revised draft Statutory Instruments, which make up the legislation, for public comment. Consultations on these seven Statutory Instruments have now closed.
Please now find enclosed one further revised draft Statutory Instrument:
-
The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Variation of Threshold Conditions) (Amendment) Order 2005 . This relates to the policy conclusions in Chapter 9, paragraph 9.6, of the Treasury's feedback statement.
The Treasury invites public comments of a purely drafting or legal nature on this revised draft Statutory Instrument. All comments must be received by Monday 28 February 2005 at the latest. Comments should be sent to:
